FTC Sues to Block DraftKings, FanDuel Merger

The Federal Trade Commission will file a lawsuit in California and Washington D.C. to prevent the daily fantasy sports websites DraftKings and FanDuel from merging. So reports ESPN.

The FTC said the two companies account for 90% of daily fantasy business. The companies agreed to merge late last year and have been embroiled in a number of legal battles involving the definition of “gambling.” The trial is set to begin Nov. 21.
