Hearings for Penn State Students Charged in Hazing Death Moved to June

Preliminary hearings for the Pennsylvania State University students allegedly involved with the hazing death of Timothy Piazza will be pushed back to next month. So reports the ABC News.

In total, 18 students have been charged in connection with Piazza’s death. Piazza was a sophomore and pledge at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He died in February after falling down a flight of stairs during a “pledge ceremony.”

Allegedly, fraternity members did not alert authorities to the accident until 12 hours after the fall. Students face charges including manslaughter, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, hazing, and evidence tampering. None of the students involved have entered pleas.
