Dylann Roof Concerned with Reputation as Mentally Unstable

Convicted murderer Dylann Roof was worried that his reputation in the white supremacist community would be tarnished by his lawyers’ assertion that he suffers mental health ailments. So reports The New York Daily News.

Roof, who was evaluated by a court-appointed psychiatrist, claimed his lawyers “lied” about the status of his mental health. Roof was convicted on 33 charges for killing nine people inside the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. 

Roof also told the evaluator he anticipated an imminent race war and his “white prison guards” would set him free once the fighting began. He said he expected to become governor of South Carolina after the race war.
