On-Air Prank Leads to Federal Lawsuit

The owner of WEAU-TV filed a federal lawsuit against Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher for pranking the early morning show “Hello, Wisconsin.” So reports Syracuse.com.

The duo allegedly appeared on the show fraudulently as the "fake strongman duo Chop & Steele," where they “stomped on small baskets, broke thin wooden twigs, and fought each other with tennis rackets.”

The pair told the station they were planning to “entertain and educate” during their time on-air. Gray Television contends Pickett and Prueher infringed on the copyright of the show and is seeking profits from the infringement.”

Several other channels in Bismarck, North Dakota and Allentown, Pennsylvania, also booked Pickett and Prueher.
