Judge Apologizes for Sexual Assault Trial Comments, Steps Down

Canadian judge Robin Camp will step down from the bench after he asked a potential rape victim why she “couldn’t keep her knees together.” So reports The New York Daily News.

A judicial committee panel comprised of 23 judges was asked to make a recommendation regarding Camp, and 19 suggested Camp be terminated based on his conduct. Camp also told the woman “pain and sex sometimes go together," according to transcripts from the trial of Alexander Wagar, who was accused of sexual assault. Wagner was ultimately acquitted.
