Ax Murderer Wins Appellate Case Related to Fictional Account of His Trial

Convicted ax murderer Christopher Porco won a court victory when the Appellate Division of state Supreme Court in New York unanimously agreed a Lifetime Entertainment Services' motion to dismiss a complaint by the murderer should have been initially denied. So reports the Times Union.

Porco is serving 46 years to life for the 2004 ax murder of his father and attempted murder of his mother. In 2012, Porco filed a temporary restraining order to stop the airing of a Lifetime movie, "Romeo Killer: The Christopher Porco Story," which is a fictionalized version of his case. Porco argued the movie was “an unauthorized and fictional account of his story created for commercial gain and which violated his civil rights,” the article reads.
