Kylie Minogue, Kylie Jenner Battle Over Name Trademark

Australian singer Kylie Minogue successfully blocked a U.S. trademark application from Kylie Jenner regarding the use of their mutual name. So reports the Entertainment Weekly.

Jenner, who wants to use the name “Kylie” in relation to her fashion line, is planning an appeal. Minogue’s representation argued Jenner’s use of the name would “confuse audiences and dilute Minogue’s brand,” the article reads. Minogue’s representation, who cited Jenner’s sometimes controversial social media posts and labeled her a “secondary reality television personality” in court papers, also pointed out Minogue already owns trademarks for the name “Kylie.”
