Russian Court Bans LinkedIn

A Russian court ruled LinkedIn broke a data storage law and, as such, faces being blocked in the country. So reports ABC News.

The social network LinkedIn was said to have broken a law that requires the personal data of Russian citizens be stored on servers located in Russia. The Moscow city court rejected LinkedIn's appeal against the ruling, but it can appeal again, according to the article.

Further, the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service announced it opened a case against Microsoft in a separate matter, as the company is currently in the process of wrapping up a $26 billion acquisition of the business-oriented social networking website.
