Pennsylvania AG Steps Down After 9-count Conviction

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane’ resigned after being convicted on charges related to abusing the powers of her position. So reports The New York Post.

Kane was said to have used her position to smear a political rival and lied under oath to cover up her efforts. A Montgomery County jury convicted her on nine counts, including obstruction, perjury, and official oppression. She could face jail time. Kane’s lawyers said they will appeal the case.
