Man Sues NYPD in Alleged Homophobic Beating

A Staten Island man filed a federal lawsuit alleging he was the victim of a homophobic attack by four New York Police Department cops. So reports The New York Daily News.

Louis Falcone said he was attacked in his front yard due to “hate and homophobia,” after police responded to a noise complaint related to an argument Falcone was having with his brother. There are no audible racial slurs heard during a recording of the incident. Falcone’s lawyer claims he was “mercilessly beaten” due to his sexual orientation. The complaint is under review by the city Law Department.
