Suspected Thieves Cash in on $1M Lotto Ticket: Police

A Pennsylvania woman and her fiancé are being charged with theft, conspiracy and records tampering after allegedly stealing more than $175,000 from a grocery store they once worked at. The coupler were said to have used the money to purchase a winning lottery ticket from the very store they ripped off, according to police.

The prize totaled more than $1 million. So reports the New York Daily News.

Joan Lechleitner, 51, and her fiancé, Kerry Titus, 54, were charged along two other employees. Lechleitner allegedly used the stolen cash to buy the winning lottery ticket and won one-quarter of the prize, netting $261,904.50. According to the story, they rang up fake returns and kept the money.
