Prosecutors Considering More Charges for ‘Pharma Bro’

'Pharma Bro' Martin Shkreli, already facing seven counts of securities fraud and conspiracy, may face additional charges. So reports The New York Business Journal.

Prosecutors at a recent hearing said they were considering additional filings against Shkreli and his former lawyer, Evan Greebel, who is already facing wire fraud conspiracy. The case is being heard by U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto and prosecutors are expected to announce any new charges at an upcoming court date in June.

Shkreli has not been charged in relation to his decision as CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals to hike the cost of a drug that fights infections in cancer and AIDS patients by more than 5,000%.
