'Sistahs' Book Group Settles Suit Over Napa Wine Train Incident

A group of predominantly African-American women who were escorted from the Napa Valley Wine Train have settled their $11 million lawsuit alleging they were ousted because of their race. So reports the Daily Mail.

The book club, known as Sistahs on the Edge, is comprised of 11 women, ten of whom were black. The club had sued the tour group after being ordered off the train mid-journey, alleging that they were humiliated after being escorted through six railroad cars. A spokesman for the train company says the train’s employees had repeatedly asked the women to quiet down, but admitted the company handled the situation completely inappropriately. The suit settled for an undisclosed amount.
