SlimFast Founder Battles Ex Over $1B Trust

S. Daniel Abraham, the founder of the SlimFast diet-product company, is at war with his ex-wife Estanne over her alleged management of the $1 billion trust he established for their four daughters with Estanne as trustee. So reports The New York Post.

Abraham, 91, is headed to court in New York City to eliminate Estanne as trustee--a designation he bestowed on her before the couple divorced in 1993 and Estanne married her current husband, accountant Martin Fawer. Estanne’s lawyers claim that, over the last 11 years, she has she made payments totaling more than $774 million to the kids, three of whom actually owe their trusts $35 million despite such the big payouts they’ve received. Abraham sold the SlimFast empire for $2.3 billion to Unilever in 2000.
