ABA Proposal Would Allow Law Students to Earn Cash and Credit

The American Bar Association is considering a proposal that would allow law school students to get school credit for paid employment. So reports the ABA Journal.

There has been a lot of public comment in favor of lifting the ban on credit for paying jobs, but critics of the proposal argue that it would undermine the academic objectives of law school job placements, and adversely affect public service and access to justice. The ABA committee in charge of deciding whether to adopt the proposal will consider proposed changes to it in March.
