Liu made Beckham the beneficiary on his $223,000 life insurance policy and several retirement accounts after spending just one evening with her in the club and a casino and then living with her in his apartment for less than three months and visiting her once in Florida.
Beckham insists the pair’s relationship was not sexual, but Liu’s sister alleges that Beckham performed sexual favors and otherwise manipulated the vulnerable Liu, who is reported to have died from heart disease, obesity and chronic alcoholism.
