James Mazi Parsa, 50, was convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old, a misdemeanor, in 2001. The conviction resulted in the suspension of his law license in 2014. Parsa then failed to notify his existing clients, whom he mostly represented on loan modification cases, that he would not be their lawyer. A California State Bar judge recently ordered Parsa to stop practicing, but his disbarment isn’t final until the California Supreme Court approves it.
