The Indiana Supreme Court has ordered the disbarment of a lawyer who brandished a gun in the office, shared confidential information about clients, and misappropriated $150,00 of his clients’ money. So reports The Indiana Lawyer.

David J. Steele, the owner of a family law practice in the northern Indianapolis suburbs, violated several rules of professional conduct, including refusing to return unearned fees, encouraging employees to inflate their billable hours, and retaliating against former clients who gave him poor reviews on lawyer-rating websites by disclosing private information about them. Most of the evidence about Steele’s offenses was submitted by an office manager whom Steele had fired.
