A jury ordered the Texas-based international law firm Andrews Kurth to pay $200 million in a malpractice case filed by a man that the firm represented in a dispute over management of his family-owned business. So reports Mahany Law.

On the advice of Andrews Kurth lawyers, the plaintiff in the malpractice suit, Scott Martin, pursued a suit to enforce a settlement agreement that turned out to be worthless. The firm had billed Martin $3 million for its services, according to ABA Journal.
